My New Release

My picture book, Much More to Christmas is available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble online.
Even children become overwhelmed with the busyness of the holidays. Much More to Christmas reminds us all of the reason we celebrate--the birth of Jesus Christ.

Learning, Exploring, Expressing

We can never exhaust God's creativity!

As a creative, I find new ways to express my thoughts exhilarating. Learning to paint digitally is so much fun. I probably spent way too much time on this illustration for my blog, My Quotes of Encouragement, but I often get lost in the process of creating. I still have a lot to learn, a lot of techniques to explore, a lot of creativity to express. And I will continue as long as the good Lord gives me breath.

Boasting on God's Creativity through My Hands

I hope this doesn't sound boastful...sometimes, no every time I create something through writing, painting, sketching, I'm awestruck at the abilities God has given me. Not that I'm ALL THAT, but I never think I can accomplish the project I'm working on. I have little talent, but when I give my desire and my hands to the Lord, He moves them in the direction He wants them to go. He virtually paints, draws, writes through my hands. It's the only possible way I can explain the outcome of my efforts. I'm small and insignificant, but God is GREAT all ways, always.

Wednesday, I posted on my other blog about living a sheltered life. To sum up the point of the article I used a simple prayer my granddaughter made up (read it here). I had a photo of the child I wanted to sketch. I asked the Lord to guide my hands and was overjoyed in the results. Again, not that I did it, but that HE guided my hands.

I admit I have little creative talent,

But we can never exhaust God's Creativity...tap into it!

Captive or Free?

Every human being desires freedom. But are we really created to be free?

This is my newest art video. Watch the painting develop as I speak about the human need for freedom. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
